My (then) husband & I were stationed at Bentwaters Air Force Base in 1970 & rented the bungalow on Glebe Close from Joan & Bill. Realizing that I was very homesick, Joan took me under her wing & invited me to several neighborhood gatherings. As a couple, they also invited us into their home & took us out to dinner on occasion. We’ve stayed friends for 52 years & even had the occasion to entertain Joan & Bill in the US in the 90’s. You will be missed, Joan! Love, Lori Bennett
